How To Get Free Ringtones iPhone with Simple Way

Follow this step by step guide to create your own free ringtones using any song in your library.

First, you’ll need:

  • A Mac running OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or higher
  • Garageband 4 (iLife ’08) or higher
  • Your favorite song in MP3 format
  • iPhone running iOS 4 or higher

 

STEP 1 >>>>

Open Garageband. It’s the guitar icon.

Name your tone and click Create.

Ignore the instruments and select new project.

STEP 5 >>>>

Next, open iTunes and select the song you would like to turn into a ringtone. Drag that song to your desktop. Don’t worry it wont affect the song that is already in iTunes.

STEP 6 >>>>

Navigate back to Garageband and drag the song from your desktop into Garageband.

This is what your song looks like in Garageband. Click the cowbell at the bottom to turn off the count. Make sure it’s not highlighted blue.

STEP 8 >>>>

Push play and listen to the song. Find the starting point you want and pause the song where it beings. Navigate to the edit menu and choose “Split” to chop the song up however you like.

STEP 9 >>>>

This is our chopped song. Make sure that your tone is less than 30 seconds long.

STEP 10 >>>>

Navigate to track and then fade out if you want your tone to fade out at the end.

This is to control the fade. If the standard fade is too much, play around and adjust it to your liking.

After the song sounds good to you click the “Cycle Region” button on. It will be highlighted blue.

The cycle region bar is above. This feature will make sure your ringtone will play on repeat.

Drag the yellow bar to the end of your ringtone.

Now it’s time to send your ringtone to iTunes. Navigate to the ‘Share’ menu and select ‘Send Ringtone to iTunes’.

Garageband will convert and compress the song and send it to iTunes automatically for you. iTunes will open the Tones menu and the ringtone will play for you.

Plug your phone into iTunes and navigate to ‘YourName’s iPhone’ on the sidebar. Click the ‘Tones’ button at the top. Select ‘Sync Tones’ and then push the ‘Sync’ button in the bottom right corner.

On your iPhone, tap settings.
